Ixia (Nasdaq: XXIA), a leading provider of network testing, visibility, and security solutions, today announced that the company’s network visibility solutions - Vision ONE™ and Net Tool Optimizer™ 7303 - have achieved certification for inclusion in the Department of Defense (DoD) Unified Capabilities Approved Product List (UC APL).

The DoD UC APL represents the agency’s master list of products that are available for purchase by DoD agencies and that are secure, trusted, and approved for deployment within the DoD's technology infrastructure. Products complete a 39-step process overseen by the Unified Capabilities Certification Office (UCCO), and must achieve the required level of security, as well as integrate into the DoD's existing infrastructure without introducing operational risk.

“This security certification signifies that these Ixia products meet the stringent security requirements of DoD agencies,” stated Recep Ozdag, vice president of product management at Ixia. “It also serves as a meaningful demonstration of Ixia’s ongoing commitment to the network visibility and federal markets.”

The following Ixia Network Visibility Solutions are now certified for UC APL:

·   Ixia Vision ONE™ is a turnkey device that enables organizations to maintain security as well as identify and resolve performance problems across physical and virtual infrastructures from a single platform. Whether fighting against threats hidden in encrypted traffic, or feeding the right data to the right forensic solution, Vision ONE boosts network protection without negatively impacting performance.

·   Ixia Net Tool Optimizer™ (NTO) 7303 is part of the Ixia NTO 7300 chassis family of network packet brokers (NPBs) that provide end-to-end network visibility across physical and virtual networks, with flexible and powerful functionality including traffic aggregation, filtering, secure socket layer (SSL) decryption with data masking, deduplication, and intelligent packet management to the tools that manage, analyze, and secure networks. The NTO 7303 enables line rate, zero-loss packet processing on networks up to 100 GE for both Layer 2–4 traffic, and Layer 7 application-level data.
